”I was constantly judged for something that wasn’t even my fault back home, now I’m scared I’ll be an outcast here too.”
Camila never had many friends growing up. Having been raised in a very conservative and religious small town, and having being born out of wedlock when her mother was only sixteen, she was judged a lot by everyone in the town. While she herself had always been good and followed the rules, everyone still preferred to have nothing to do with her. Her only relief from feeling like such an outcast was in her dancing, having started at a studio in the next time over when she was two years old. It was that and her good grades, that gained her acceptance into Concord Academy, and gave her the fresh new start she so desperately craved.
Shy, soft-spoken, and kind-hearted are common adjectives used to describe Camila. She always tries to be there for somebody in need, and is willing to be friends with anybody, knowing what it’s like to not have any. Coming to Concord allowed her to break out of her shell a little and learn to relax and have fun, but she’s still not the most outgoing person you’ll ever meet.
- Camila doesn’t get along with Hazel Thompson, she can’t stand the girl’s need to be harsh on everyone and would rather just avoid her.
- Luke Stanford is someone she’s a bit jealous of for seeming to excel in whatever he does.
- She considers Joshua Princeton to be a good friend, they met on the first day of freshman year and their personalities just worked together.
